TuffType
A browser extension and app that types for you. TuffType takes text you already have and enters it into Google Docs or Word properly, keeping the natural edit history a document is supposed to have.
What it does
Most people do not write in one place. You draft somewhere comfortable, tidy it up somewhere else, then move the result into the document that actually matters. That final step is almost always a single paste, and a pasted document has no history behind it at all.
TuffType handles that transfer differently. Instead of dropping everything in at once, it types the text in at a pace you choose, so the document builds up the way a document normally does.
You stay in control the whole way through. Pause it when you want, pick it back up later, adjust how quickly it moves, or stop partway and finish the rest yourself.
It runs both as a browser extension and as an app, and it works with the places people actually write, Google Docs and Word.
